First Home Owner Grant

If you are looking to buy your first home, you may be eligible for the First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) of $7,000. The FHOG is administered by the States and Territories and some offer additional benefits to First Home Buyers.

You may be eligible for the FHOG if you and/or your partner:

1. have never owned a home

2. are buying or building your first home

3. are an Australian citizen or permanent resident

4. intend making the home your principal residence, and

5. start live in the home within a reasonable time
